PMAP 8521 - EVALUATION RESEARCH [syllabus]
Evaluation Research: Design and Practice. Prerequisite: PMAP 8131 or consent of the instructor. An examination of the techniques and practice of program evaluation for effectiveness in program administration. The course will focus on issues of bias in quantitative studies and present a variety of research designs that are meant to provide unbiased reports of program impact.
PMAP 8210 - INTRO TO THE NONPROFIT SECTOR [syllabus]
The Nonprofit Sector. The course provides an overview of the nonprofit sector in society with a consideration of the nonprofit sector's relationship to the state and to for-profit sectors. Attention will be given to the social settings in which nonprofit organizations exist, and to contemporary public policy issues regarding the nonprofit sector.
